Hello!
My name is Kayla and I am the founder of Vetshift Technician Relief Services. I embarked on this journey to provide a new resource for the veterinary community. I have felt for some time there has been a gap within the technician aspect that could be well utilized.
I strongly believe that Vetshift can provide a service to help aid technicians and veterinary clinics in many ways. From filling in for maternity leave, vacation time or even employee turnover. Creating a strong pool of support staff to dip into in turn creates less stress on your in-house staff. Thus, preventing burnout and encouraging staff to take their paid vacation and use those sick days without feeling guilty. Plus, your clinic is not left short staffed!
I graduated from the Vet Tech Insitute in 2008. Since that time, I have been in GP, Emergency/Urgent Care, Specialty Medicine and Shelter Medicine. Prior to forming Vetshift, my last 8 years were spent specifically in Internal Medicine. I love educating clients to help them better understand their pet's chronic disease(s) and thus help them provide better care. I also thoroughly enjoy advanced diagnostics (CT/Endoscopy) and elevating fellow technicians.
Currently I have worked with Avimark, Cornerstone, Stringsoft, Shepherd and EzyVet/Smart Flow.
